The original building was
erected in 1939 as the primary residence of Dr. Aldoria Robichaud, one of
the founders of the nearby Tracadie Hospital and recipient of the Honour
of Canada. In their later years Dr. & Mrs. Robichaud used this
as their summer home.
In 2001, George & Jeannie
Gaggio who renovated it into a Bed & Breakfast purchased the property.
Le Chateau d’Acadie is located
in the heart of the Acadian Peninsula. Its unique design &
architectural style is one of a kind in the area. It is a magnificent part
of its locale, living links to the community and its heritage. One you
