Down Route 370 at Pont-LaFrance, the roots of Acadian culture and heritage
run deep. Many of the families here are descended from the Acadians who were
deported by the British in 1755. They fled to the forests of this part of
northern New Brunswick to rebuild their lives. They still carry on many of their
ancestor's finest traditions.
